Job Title: Test Engineer II
1st shift: Monday - Friday 7:00-3:30
Description:

As a key member of the Client's Testing Center of Excellence team, works closely with product development staff on product testing direction, supports design direction, and assures design robustness through compliance to required standards. A key responsibility for this position is to execute tests at the Franksville, WI electrical labs.

This person:
A. Works closely with product development staff and advises on product design direction. Assures design robustness through compliance to required standards.
B. Assesses and implements testing approach and equipment set-up.
C. Conducts hands-on testing of electrical tests of varying complexity.
D. Performs both standardized and unique tests on electrical power distribution apparatus involving high voltage, high power, and thermal testing.
E. Reviews test methods required by standards and develops procedures as needed to provide repeatable test practices. Incorporates changes to improve quality, effectiveness, and efficiency.
F. Designs and sets up test circuits including test instrumentation and controls. Execution involves running the test, collecting test data, evaluating results, and writing reports.
G. Participates with Power Test Lab (PTL) management to ensure compliance with IEC/ISO 17025 and A2LA certification requirements. Maintains and improves both PTL and site safety.
