Job Opportunity: Accounting Manager

Location: Downers Grove, IL

Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 (Plus Bonus Potential)

This role focuses on managing the accounting operations rather than direct staff supervision, making it an excellent opportunity for a hands-on, detail-oriented professional who thrives in ownership of processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end close

• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports

• Monitor compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and relevant regulations

• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and improve processes

• Maintain internal controls and ensure documentation supports financial transactions

• Assist with year-end audits and liaise with external auditors

• Support budgeting and forecasting processes through accurate financial data management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CMA preferred

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control best practices

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems

• Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently
