This position is less hands on. It is more advisory. General knowledge on all types of Facilities and maintenance equipment required (doesn’t need to be a SME on anything specific). Candidates must have strong leadership skills that can go and audit locations and help give suggestions on how to standardize Corning maintenance/facilities organizations.
SCOPE OF POSITION:
- A Maintenance Engineer needs to have the skillset to ensure manufacturing/facility assets operate efficiently by knowing how to perform installations, scheduled maintenance, emergency repairs, while also managing projects, inspecting systems, and troubleshooting complex problems using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge.
- Key responsibilities for this position are to use the previously mentioned skills to develop and maintain corporate maintenance standards, the ability to accurately audit existing manufacturing plants to evaluate and implement corporate standards and working with new manufacturing plants to build maintenance organizations from the ground up, all while having a strong working knowledge of Maximo (CMMS) to support Maximo administrators across our industry in standardizing their operation.
