Our prestigious law firm is seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Trial Attorney to join our team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of experience in the legal industry, specifically in the area of personal injury law. This position requires a motivated individual who is ready to take on a challenging role. The Associate Trial Attorney will be responsible for managing cases from inception to completion, including trial. They will work closely with other attorneys to provide top-notch legal services to our clients.
Responsibilities:
As an Associate Trial Attorney, you will be expected to:
1. Manage a caseload of personal injury and medical malpractice cases from inception through trial, ensuring all cases are handled professionally and diligently.
2. Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents and correspondences.
3. Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute in civil litigation.
4. Conduct pre-trial discovery, handle depositions, and attend court hearings.
5. Develop strategies for complex legal issues to guide the case efficiently towards resolution.
6. Engage in negotiation and mediation processes to reach settlements.
7. Assist in the preparation and presentation of cases at trial as the second chair or first chair.
8. Maintain strong client relations, keeping them informed and engaged throughout the legal process.
9. Participate in jury selection and provide input on trial strategy.
10. Collaborate with a team of legal professionals to ensure the best possible outcome for our clients.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must possess the following:
1. Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
3. Experience in personal injury law, with a proven track record of handling cases from inception through trial.
4. Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills.
5. Proven experience in case management, client relations, litigation, and trial experience.
6. Knowledge of medical malpractice law and experience in handling such cases.
7. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve complex legal issues.
8. Experience in both second chair and first chair jury trials.
9. Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
10. Ability to handle a high caseload while maintaining high-quality legal services.
11. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
