Role Overview - What You'll Do as an Accounts Payable Specialist:

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you'll handle high-volume, complex invoice processing with accuracy and professionalism. You'll collaborate across departments to resolve discrepancies, ensure compliance, and contribute to the strength of the financial operations team.

Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist:

• Process invoices into the Accounts Payable system, ensuring timely and accurate results

• Open and image incoming mail (USPS) and process electronic invoices

• Perform data verification using optical character recognition (OCR) software

• Research and apply appropriate coding for all non-purchase order invoices

• Reconcile vendor statements and request copies of unprocessed or aged invoices

• Identify new vendors and accounts, and request distribution codes as needed
  
  

Qualifications - What Makes a Successful Accounts Payable Specialist:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Data entry accuracy of 95% and a minimum of 11,000 KSPH

• At least one (1) year of experience using complex computer applications
