Role Summary - Credentialing Specialist

• Oversee the end-to-end credentialing and re-credentialing process for healthcare providers (physicians, NPs, PAs, etc.).

• Gather, verify, and validate licenses, certifications, and other required documentation.

• Prepare and submit credentialing applications to payers, hospitals, and regulatory agencies while tracking progress.

• Maintain up-to-date records in credentialing systems and provider files.

• Monitor upcoming expirations and proactively manage renewal timelines.

• Serve as a key contact between providers, payers, and internal teams to ensure compliance and efficiency.

• Support audits and ensure adherence to NCQA, CMS, and other regulatory standards.

Preferred Background

• Minimum of 2 years in credentialing, provider enrollment, or medical staff services.

• Knowledge of credentialing guidelines and healthcare compliance requirements.

• Experience with credentialing software and platforms (CAQH, Availity, etc.).

• Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
