Hours: 40 hours guaranteed (9am – 5pm) with flexibility to work overtime. 

Position Overview

A private couple in Bernardsville, NJ, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Full-Time Housekeeper to care for their 25,000 sq. ft. residence. The household also includes two small dogs, so comfort around pets is required. The role involves daily cleaning, laundry, organizational tasks, and light cooking. The ideal candidate is hardworking, reliable, and capable of maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in a large private home.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform full-charge housekeeping, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing
• Maintain fine surfaces, furnishings, and delicate finishes with proper care
• Handle laundry and ironing, including wardrobe care and organization
• Prepare light meals and assist with simple cooking as needed
• Maintain kitchen organization and cleanliness
• Care for and support the family’s two small dogs as required
• Monitor and restock household supplies
• Assist with special organizational projects, errands, and additional duties as requested

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of housekeeping experience in a private home of comparable scale or formality
• Excellent references from previous employers
• Strong knowledge of cleaning products and methods for fine furnishings, delicate surfaces, and luxury finishes
• Skilled in laundry, ironing, and garment care
• Ability to prepare simple meals and provide light cooking support
• Must love and be comfortable working around small dogs
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Professional, discreet, and trustworthy
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Valid Driver’s license
