Biologist II- Bioanalysis

Duration: 12 months contract
 
 
Description:

• The Protein Science group within Biologics and Genetic Medicine seeks a talented scientist to develop advanced and robust LC-MS analytical methods for the bioanalysis of various molecular formats, such as peptides and proteins. The successful candidate will develop and implement innovative, high-resolution mass spectrometry-based methods for peptide mapping and intact protein analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Sample preparation for mass spectrometry and other related analytical techniques, such as Western blotting, SEC-MALS, ELISA, and spectroscopic methods.
• The candidate will also maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments, including biological sample extraction systems, HPLC, and LC-MS.
   

Top skill requirements:

• Basic understanding of LC-MS, SEC-MALS, Western blotting and other protein characterization techniques.
• Sample handling and preparation of sample for peptide mapping and proteomics.
• Basic instrument operation and maintenance.
• Documentation: Accurate record-keeping of experiments and results.
• Data analysis and interpretation of the data.

 
Experience:

• 3-5 years.

 
Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree preferred.
