A family-owned global manufacturer in Edinburgh that has been in business for over 70 years is looking to grow their Engineering team.

Design Engineer

• This is a direct hire opportunity with a company that has 8 locations on 3 continents.

• The Design Engineer is responsible for designing and developing products for material handling and packaging industries.
• This includes working efficiently with a cross functional team including tool design, quality assurance, manufacturing, documentation control, etc.
• Perform product development activities in design and analysis of new products from concept to production using Solidworks or NX follow by customers requirements.
• Communicate with customers, sales and manufacturing teams to meet target cost, quality and timing requirements.
• The company is hiring immediately!

Engineer's Pay/Benefits:

• Up to $80K based upon experience

Job Experience

• 3+ years experience with designing and manufacturing. Experience designing large products a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Solidworks. Knowledge of NX and Team Center is a plus.
• Ability to analyze engineering problems and develop creative solutions.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing automation is desirable.

Job Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
