Staff Accountant

Compensation: $65,000 - $85,000 base

Key Responsibilities of the Accountant:

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for a portfolio of 10-12 properties.
• Conduct accurate bank and account reconciliations.
• Supply financial data to auditors, tax consultants, lenders, property managers, and stakeholders.
• Assist in annual budget preparation, recovery processes, 1099 filings, and sales tax reporting.
• Handle annual property tax payments and support tax return preparation, including K-1 distributions to partners.
• Aid in preparing construction draws and other special projects as assigned by the Controller.

Qualifications of the Accountant:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited university. CPA license is a plus but not required.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Yardi is preferred.
• 1-3 years of accounting experience, with specific expertise in commercial real estate accounting required.
