Job Goal:
To Document and maintain accurate records of all meals served.
Qualifications:
1 High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. 2 Ability to work independently and efficiently 3 Willingness to travel to remote locations. 4 Ability to live and work in a cross-cultural, rural Alaska environment. 5 Ability to successfully perform the duties listed below.
Duties:
1. Complete training as required. USDA-Civil Rights Requirements and Child Nutrition Programs. NSLP – Point of Service Counting and Claiming NSLP – Meal Pattern Requirements and any other applicable trainings.
2. Prepare daily meal reports for students, adults, and elders meals.
3. Recognize and record reimbursable student meals.
4. Record all meals served at breakfast and lunch with point of sale system (scanners). include students, adults, elders, and visiting students.
5. Ensuring all meals record are recorded completed and accurately on the appropriate forms and are accurately totaled.
6. Record all salad bar counts accurately.
7. Collaborate with colleagues/cook to ensure accurate and complete meal counts.
8. Update the site meal counting spreadsheet daily on the shared document.
9. ensure all elders have a completed Consumer Characteristics form before serving elder lunches to them.
10. Ensure all adult meals are purchased before being served.
11. Update the students and elder rosters weekly
12. Attend monthly training hosted by NMS.
13. Send all meal counting paperwork via email every Friday by the end of the business day and ensure the meal counting spreadsheet is complete for the week. There reports MUST match.
14. Other duties as assigned
