IT Support Specialist - Full-time / Part-time

Responsibilities & Qualifications

We are seeking an individual to provide IT support in all of the Adams Land and Cattle facilities and locations. This is a temporary (6-9 month position) and is based out of our town office in Broken Bow, Nebraska.

This person will be responsible for:

• Responding to IT ticket request submissions. 

• Assisting with server setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting. 

• Managing Microsoft Azure infrastructure.   

• Overseeing PC, laptop, and tablet setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting. 

• Assisting with network maintenance, security, and upgrades. 

• Providing rotational on-call IT support to Adams Land and Cattle employees. 

• Assisting with server and database backups/restores. 

• Assisting Development Team in roll-out of software installs and upgrades. 

• Maintaining a secure network through monitoring, security, and control. 

• Providing anti-virus solution maintenance.

Ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IS, Networking, or other related discipline; 2 years of related experience may be substituted with an Associates. 

• Network + certification (or be willing to get certified within first six months of employment). 

• Cisco or Ubiquiti product knowledge is a plus. 

• T-SQL knowledge. 

• Network design, LAN knowledge, and network tuning experience is a plus. 

• Excellent problem solving skills. 

• Strong customer service skills. 

• Good written and verbal communication. 

• Experience with VoIP phone system. 

• 2+ years experience with the following: 

  • Windows Server 2008/2012 setup and maintenance. 

  • Virtual server management using Hyper-V. 

  • Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SMNP. 

  • Microsoft SQL Server Management.

Requirements

This position requires:

• Valid Driver’s License. 

• Individual must be able to work in adverse weather conditions if needed. 

• Exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally. Carrying, lifting/lowering, bending, twisting, climbing, reaching, kneeling, sitting, walking, and standing and other positional physical movements may be occasional to frequent.

Compensation Details:

Starting Wage: $23.00 to 30.00 per hour
