Respiratory Paramedic - Part-time

Position Summary:

Delta Health is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapy Paramedic to join our Cardiopulmonary team. In this vital role, you will work alongside Respiratory Therapists as a first-line caregiver, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across all age groups—from newborns to geriatrics.

Under the direct supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Manager, you will support diagnostic testing, emergency interventions, and ongoing patient monitoring, while adhering to hospital policies and operating within the EMT/Paramedic scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform cardiopulmonary diagnostic testing, including:
• • Electrocardiograms (EKGs)
  • Pulmonary function tests
  • Stress testing
  • Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab monitoring
• Assist in preparation and monitoring of patients during diagnostic procedures
• Support technical procedures such as bubble studies, specimen handling for lab analysis, and Point of Care Testing
• Provide emergency support including CPR, resuscitation, and airway management
• Obtain and document vital signs, oxygen saturation, cardiac rhythms, and blood pressure using non-invasive monitoring
• Clean, decontaminate, and stock equipment, carts, and patient rooms
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Communicate observations and patient care needs effectively to Respiratory Therapists and the care team
• Demonstrate a commitment to safety, quality care, and excellent communication with patients, families, and clinical teams

Qualifications:

• Current EMT Basic, Intermediate, or Paramedic certification in the State of Colorado
• Completion of a recognized training program through NREMT
• BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) required at time of hire
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience preferred
