We are seeking a skilled Apartment Porter/Cleaner to join our team and play a crucial role in maintaining the upkeep of our properties. The ideal candidate will have a background in general maintenance, repairs, cleaning, janitorial work, or customer service. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by ensuring our residents have a safe and comfortable living environment.

Janitorial Duties:

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors and carpets.

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.

• Empty trash and recycling bins; replace liners.

• Dust and wipe down surfaces, windows, and fixtures.

• Restock supplies (e.g., soap, paper towels, toilet paper) as needed.

Groundskeeping:

• Maintain the cleanliness of outdoor areas including walkways, parking lots, and entrances.

• Pick up litter and debris around the property.

• Perform seasonal tasks such as snow removal, leaf raking, and de-icing walkways.

• Water plants and maintain small landscaped areas as needed.

Light Maintenance:

• Perform basic repairs such as changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and tightening fixtures.

• Report more serious maintenance issues to the appropriate supervisor.

• Assist with moving furniture or equipment.

• Help with property inspections and prepare units or areas for new tenants or visitors.
  
  

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or general maintenance roles is a plus.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods.

• Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, tools, and light maintenance.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
