Facilities Technician I

The Facilities Technician I assists with the maintenance, operation, and repair of building systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general infrastructure. Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, the Facilities Technician, I will gain hands-on experience and training while helping to ensure that facilities operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all applicable codes and standards.

Essential Function

• Assist with routine maintenance and repairs of commercial building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment
• Perform general upkeep such as lighting, filter changes, painting, and minor repairs
• Support preventive maintenance efforts and complete assigned work orders
• Respond to service requests and assist in resolving building issues in a timely, professional manner
• Maintain mechanical rooms, tools, and storage areas in a safe and orderly condition
• Follow all safety protocols and Mi-Jack policies
• Participate in after-hours and emergency response duties as needed

Qualifications

• High School or GED
• 1+ years of experience in building maintenance, facilities, or mechanical trades preferred
• Experience in building maintenance, facilities, or mechanical trades
• Strong interest in commercial building systems and maintenance
• Ability to learn and follow technical instructions
• Good communication skills and a strong team player attitude
• Valid driver’s license 
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or in mechanical areas

Compensation/Benefits:

The final compensation offer may vary based on factors such as experience, education, skills, and location.
