POSITION TITLE:                                       Dual Rate Security Supervisor

DEPARTMENT:                                            Security

GRADE /FLSA STATUS:                             H16/9-Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO:                                               Supervisor, Security and Security Shift Manager

SUPERVISES:                                                Security Officer, Telecommunicator, Lost & Found Coordinator, Resort Events Security Representative

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for monitoring and supervising Security Officers, and Telecommunicators as needed, to provide a safe and pleasurable environment for guests and employees.

JOB ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Establish and endorse the business objectives, ethics and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision and Values
• Provide excellent service to guests and handle customer complaints
• Respond and secure all Emergency Management situations
• Perform property evictions/exclusions as necessary
• Represent property in civil and criminal proceedings
• Assist in conducting company investigations
• Assure accuracy of reports prepared by Security Officers
• Work closely with surveillance
• Work closely with Cherokee Police Department, Fire, and Emergency Medical Service providers
• Implement and comply with internal controls
• Assist with the training of team members, providing each with the knowledge, development and appropriate direction to perform his/her responsibilities
• Utilize both positive and corrective coaching to accomplish this goal
• Exhibit sound decision-making with emphasis on motivating team and maintaining high morale
• Proactive with incidents and issues ensuring resolution with employees and guests
• Other duties as required to deliver excellent service to internal and external customers
• Participative member of the team by volunteering and being involved with projects, committees, and task forces by providing input and suggestions
• Perform essential daily Supervisory duties to include Officer Schedules, UKG, and Tito-Ticket reporting or any other technical function required of Security Supervisor’s
• Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies in an ethical manner

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED required
• One-year experience as a Security Officer required
• Valid driver’s license required with no more than one (1) DUI convictions or 3 or more moving violations, 3 or more traffic citation convictions in the past 3 years (from date of conviction) or conviction for suspension or conviction for at fault accident within the last 3 years required
• CPR/AED certified *
• Bilingual preferred
• Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:
• Complete knowledge of all internal controls
• Complete knowledge of all emergency procedures
• Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Excellent record of leadership
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Willing to learn and be adaptable
• Attention to detail/observant
• Documented teamwork behaviors and attitudes
• Comfortable under surveillance
• Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene

 Certification will be required during the probation period through HCCR/CVR standards

 

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

• Must be physically capable of performing MACH Controlled Force or any other security related training
• Must be able to lift/ carry/drag75 pounds
• Must be able to be on feet/stand for 8-hour shift
• Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist and grasp items
• Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
• Must be able to use an earpiece/headset and other communication methods Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations
• Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality including secondhand smoke
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
