Job Description:
The On-Campus Food Pantry Student Worker supports the daily operations of the campus food pantry by assisting with inventory, distribution, customer service, outreach, and maintaining a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students. This position is ideal for students who are passionate about food security, equity, and student support services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist pantry visitors in a friendly and respectful manner
- Stock, organize, and rotate food and hygiene items following safety guidelines
- Receive, log, and shelve donations and deliveries
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pantry space
- Collect and record data for inventory and usage tracking
- Ensure confidentiality and dignity of all pantry users
- Promote pantry services through tabling, flyers, and social media
- Collaborate with staff and student volunteers to support special events or initiatives
- Uphold all food safety, sanitation, and campus protocols
