About this job
To qualify for a Monitor Technician position an employee must be trained in basic cardiac arrhythmia
interpretation and observes cardiac monitors. Accurately identifies cardiac rhythms and notifies Clinical
Manager and/or caregiver when cardiac rhythm changes occur. Promotes and maintains patient support
including but not limited to: interprets and post rhythm strips and protocol, performs 12 lead EKGs.
Maintain and clean portable telemetry monitors between patient use according to manufacturers guidelines.
High School graduate or GED required. BLS certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Assocation or American Red
