Summary/Objective
Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include performing routine administrative and clinical tasks required for a primary care clinic, such as providing patient care and vital signs, re-enforcement of teaching, notifying, and collaborating with attending provider(s), recognizing and responding to emergency situations, and administering medication within the Licensed Vocation Nurse scope of practice. This position utilizes knowledge of office systems, procedures, clinic and hospital regulations, interdepartmental functions, and insurance standards and procedures to facilitate patient services provided in a primary care clinic.

Implements patient plan of care including nursing, physician and multi-disciplinary directives, with concern for the patient’s emotional, spiritual, and physical needs.

Required Education and Experience
Graduation from an accredited nursing school of vocational/practical nursing
Current CA LVN license
BLS required
