R 2962 Before and After School Daycare Aide- Barnstable Innovation Community School

Position:  Before/After School Aide

Job Goal:  Under close supervision of the Before and After School Site Coordinator and/or Before and After School Teacher, assist with the day-to-day programming activities within the After School Program. 

Qualifications:

• Must have previous experience working with school-aged children
• Must be at least 17 years of age
• Must be able to obtain CPR certification within 60 days of hire

 Reports To:

• Building-based Before and After Program Site Coordinator

 Roles and Responsibilities:

• Monitor children’s needs, health, and safety at all times
• Assist in organizing and facilitating group activities and projects
• Provide assistance during parent pick up
• Assist in ensuring safe play conditions for children
• Provide assistance to students during homework help
• Encourage children to participate in enrichment activities and organized games
• Demonstrate enthusiasm, patience, positivity, and a strong work ethic
• Must work well in a team environment
• Other duties as assigned
