PRIMARY PURPOSE
The Glen Eyrie Maintenance Technician I shall serve The Navigators and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose: To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost.
This position works with the Facilities Department and team providing maintenance, repairs, remodels and general construction for all the buildings and grounds. This work will be performed at both Glen Eyrie and Eagle Lake properties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
General Maintenance and Construction – 95%
Provide support to all aspects of the facilities operations for Glen Eyrie and Eagle Lake, to include but not limited to, building maintenance, grounds, vehicles, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, painting, fence installation and repair, concrete work, irrigation, and security systems.
Maintain all tools and equipment.
Ground Maintenance: mowing, irrigation, weeding and fertilizer
Serve on the Facilities-on-Duty rotation (FOD).
Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
Additional Responsibilities – 5%
Participate in Navigators’ on-site learning and development events, Cultural Development and Diversity trainings, or other non-Navigator developmental events as appropriate.
Participate in annual processes, such as the organizational Plan and Progress Review (PPR), Engagement Survey, Reaffirmation of the Navigators Code of Conduct, Calling-Core Values-Vision, Statement of Faith, Driver’s Authorization, and other releases as required.
Submit time worked on a weekly basis through Workday Time Tracking
May be asked to serve on the Security Team
Other job-related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Spiritual: Belief in and adherence to the Statement of Faith and Mission of The Navigators.
Experience: One to two years of experience in maintenance and/or construction required.
Technical Knowledge & Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Knowledge of HVAC, engine and mechanical repairs. Appliance repair.
Communication & Leadership: Good interpersonal and communication skills including verbal & written, to create understanding and build strong working relationships required.
Education: High School diploma or general education degree required.
Compensation Range: $16.00 - $21.00 an hour
