- Post-high school training or certification in the secretarial/ administrative assistant field preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years secretarial experience or related field
- Must be able to work independently and as a supportive team member
- Must be organized and able to prioritize workload
- Must be professional and responsive to any requests, questions, or assistance needed by Program Supervisors, staff members, and any customers
- Ability to exercise sound judgment when making decisions without supervisors or on their behalf.
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Suite, and comfort in learning new software
- Medical (for a nominal premium), dental and vision insurance. Dental & Vision are at no cost to the employee

Description:
The Student Services Specialist is vital in maintaining communications and transactions related to student teachers, interns, volunteers, vacant positions, external contractors, and providers. Additionally, this position is crucial in onboarding and orientation of LIU12 new hires within the student services department, providing training, offering support and guidance, and answering questions, contributing to the seamless integration of personnel into the department.

Terms: Full-time, 260 days (12 months)
Salary: $23.58/hr
