Description
SUMMARY:
The primary role of a Class 8 Clean Room Operator is to setup and operate equipment using established processes for the manufacture of medical components. Roles include but are not limited to: Assembly, Inspection, Testing. This person could work with manufacturing personnel, maintenance, quality assurance and technical teams.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Continuous flow operation, teaming up and cross training to learn any position in the cell
• Documenting activities accurately and completely
• Following sequences of operations in performing techniques such as assembly, inspection, and packing.
• Use of precision tools on very small components
• Complying with FDA regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), general safety and manufacturing procedures, and company practices and policies
• Ability to read, comprehend and communicate in English
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must possess fine motor skills
• Ability to read standard and metric rulers and use a surgical blade
• Ability to use magnification when needed (magnifiers, magnivisor, eyeloop)
• Excellent teaming skills
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Computer skills required: Inventory Software (experience with QMS preferred); Microsoft Outlook
• Other skills required: Mechanically inclined, detail oriented, basic math skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIORNMENT:
• Frequently required to sit for long periods
• Be gowned with gloves, safety glasses and safety shoes
• Occasionally required to stand, walk
• Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
• Occasionally required to balance, bend or stoop
• Frequently required to talk or hear
• Occasionally work around fumes, airborne particles, or chemicals (adhesives, isopropyl alcohol)
• While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to low
• The employee must very occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
