Title: Program Assistant
Department: Nutrition and Senior Centers
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Congregate Meals Program Manager
Summary: Provides administrative and program support to the Nutrition and Seniors Center Department.
Essential Functions:
1. Inputs participants’ data to SF DAS GetCare.
2. Collects, processes, tracks, and inputs voluntary meal donations from participants.
3. Coordinates and collects supporting documents and reports for monthly invoicing to funding sources
4. Orders and purchases all food and non-food supplies for food service operation.
5. Updates the Home Delivered Meals, CHAMPSS, and Congregate Meals Intake Forms and meals served reports in the San Francisco DAS GetCare system.
6. Supports and coordinates nutrition programs, agency fundraising, departmental events, and activities.
7. Prints and distributes departmental forms and flyers to senior centers.
8. Provides operation support for department programs.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. College degree in Business Administration or related field, and one year of experience in office administration or business management or high school graduate with three years of office administrative experience.
2. Knowledge of standard office administrative practices and procedures.
3. Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized.
4. Must possess strong self-motivation and the ability to work as a team.
5. Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Bilingual and bi-literate in English and Chinese.
7. Proficient in MS Office Excel and Word and the Internet.
8. Must be available to work weekends and evenings as needed.
9. Must pass a strength test for physical fitness for the job: the ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
