Position Details
Provide peer-based support services
- Support individuals in recovery and/or re-entry through mentorship, motivation, and shared experience to promote behavioral health recovery and long-term success.
Build and maintain supportive relationships
- Engage empathetically and non-judgmentally with individuals to establish rapport and foster trust, crucial for effective peer support.
Assist in creating and enhancing individualized recovery/re-entry plans
- Help individuals set and reach goals by developing personalized plans and connecting them to relevant resources.
Identify crises and facilitate access to appropriate services
- Recognize emergency situations and guide individuals to proper support, ensuring safety and continuity of care.
Maintain ethical standards and confidentiality
- Adhere to professional codes of ethics and confidentiality regulations to ensure respectful, legal, and trustworthy service delivery, as well as maintain confidentiality regarding information received during the facilitation of recovery support services.
