Machine Shop Technician I – Night Shift

Schedule: Wednesday–Saturday, 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM
Location:  Paragould, AR

Anchor Packaging is hiring a Machine Shop Technician I to join our night shift team. This hands-on role involves operating conventional mills, lathes, and grinders to support production and ensure high-quality trim die assemblies. Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate manual machining equipment (mills, lathes, grinders)
• Select and secure fixtures, accessories, and materials
• Calculate machining factors (speed, feed, depth, angle, coolant flow)
• Inspect and maintain cutting tools and machine components
• Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, depth gauges)
• Document inspections and maintain accurate records
• Perform machine maintenance and coolant replacement
• Maintain a clean and safe work area

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Machine shop apprentice certificate or 5 years of relevant experience
• Strong understanding of trim die assemblies and inspection procedures
• Basic math skills including geometry and algebra
• Ability to read blueprints and technical documents
• Good attendance and communication skills
• Detail-oriented and quality-conscious

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

• Exposure to noise, heat, fumes, and moving mechanical parts
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
• Use of PPE required (safety glasses, footwear, etc.)
• Repetitive motions and strong hand/finger dexterity required
