Registered Behavior Technician
Immediate Opening
Full Time/Academic Calendar 185 days + option for additional work in Extended School Year
Non-Exempt
Hourly Rate Range: $25.00 to $30.00
BEAM Elementary School, Danbury, CT

Major Responsibilities & Requirements:

Provide patient and supportive instructional assistance to students with diverse academic and behavioral needs
Experience with implementation of a Behavior Intervention Plan
Identify areas and possible solutions to maximize the fidelity of data collection and of implementation of interventions
Collection of, and on-going maintenance of, behavioral and instructional data
Proactive communication and collaboration with the school team
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

Must have taken and passed the ParaPro test or have 2 years post-secondary education (minimum 60 credits) or Associates Degree or higher
Must hold a current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential or be willing to immediately participate in coursework and training to become an RBT
Excellent professionalism and communication skills
Consistent attendance is an essential function of this position
Ability to withstand the physical demands of frequent standing, bending, kneeling and therapeutic holding as required
