General Maintenance and Repair: Regularly inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify potential issues.
Fix or replace faulty electrical switches, outlets, and circuit breakers, as well as plumbing fixtures, and other building components.
Perform routine maintenance to prevent future problems and ensure equipment runs smoothly.
Maintain detailed records of work performed, including materials used and time spent.
Specialized Tasks: HVAC: Perform minor repairs and maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, sometimes coordinating with specialized tradespeople for major repairs, according to a job description template from Monster.com.
Plumbing: Handle minor plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, and fixture replacements.
Electrical: Address minor electrical repairs, such as replacing light bulbs or fuses.
Carpentry: Perform basic carpentry work like repairing doors, windows, and furniture.
Painting: Perform touch-up painting and minor repairs to building surfaces.
Other Duties: Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness of buildings and grounds, including dusting, mopping, and trash removal.
