Required Certifications & Qualifications

Applicants should have general kitchen skills and be able to lift 40-50 pounds. Must be able to communicate well, get along with a variety of personalities, and be willing to work hard.

General Statement of Duties

Cafeteria substitutes needed for all schools. Tasks vary from school to school and  include: basic food preparation, serving during meal service, dish washing and other work related duties as needed by the cafe manager.  

Specific Examples of Duties

• Prepare components of school meals according to the instruction and specifications of the cafeteria manager 

• Assist in setting and resetting the serving line (ie. display meal options, stock milk and utensils)

• Serve food during meal service

• Assist with general clean up including dish room tasks

• Maintain sanitary and health standards

• Shifts vary on an as-needed basis; 3-4hr per day

Additional Duties

Perform all other duties that may be assigned by the Director of Food Services and/or Cafeteria Manager.

Terms of Employment

• Rate:  $16.35 per hour

• As needed basis 

Work Schedule

• Beginning on the first day of school for students and concluding on the last day of school for students.

• Hours vary per assignment.
