Deskside Support Analyst

They will be one of other deskside technicians who will be deploying multiple Windows 10 assets to HQ users following a standard process designed to efficiently migrate each user from their old computing device.

Our client is seeking qualified, creative, and customer-focused technical and non-technical personnel to provide transition due diligence, knowledge transfer, and operations support for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), located in Rockville, MD. 

They will be the primary POC and responsible for providing operational desk-side support tasks and activities for the upcoming PC Hardware Refresh of every device across the NRC. 

Each candidate position shall provide technical and non-technical surge support deploying Windows10 desktop and laptop devices to NRC end users in support of a 100% Hardware Refresh Deployment project. 

Each candidate should be familiar in conducting non-disruptive desk-side surge support to deploy Windows 10 configured hardware devices for every NRC end users using a specified deployment process. 

Requirements: 

  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Remedy, and tools specifically used to support the deployment of these devices is desired. (familiarity with Remedy will aid in deploying the hardware devices) 
  • Servicenow ticket processing is a must
  • Updating the CMDB to capture the change
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills preferred. 
  • Candidates must be comfortable with communicating with end users and providing status to clients and able to take and execute direction on a tight schedule. Some travel may be required depending on the site supported.
  • Windows 10Installs and deployments 
  • Utilize their knowledge in Windows 10 Hardware refresh deployments and migration of data from a current device to a new device utilizing developed automated toolset.
  • Timely customer availability to backup the old device to support deploying new device.
    Each candidate position shall provide technical and non-technical surge support deploying and decommissioning Dell Windows10 desktop and laptop devices to NRC end users in support of a Hardware Refresh Deployment project in the evening during the work week driven off the use of remedy ticketing.
