Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Summary:  

Responsible for the installation, continuous operation, maintenance, and modification of all systems across the Vytalogy site. This includes both corrective (unplanned/repair) and preventive (planned) maintenance of associated equipment. The technician must be capable of working independently and collaboratively, using sound judgment and initiative to resolve complex technical issues. Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential, along with the ability to handle additional tasks as needed in a dynamic environment. 

Your primary activities will include but are not limited to: 

• Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day production line issues to ensure equipment reliability and process compliance. 

• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on production machinery and support systems to minimize downtime. 

• Manage and enhance Preventive & Predictive Maintenance programs using CMMS and reliability best practices. 

• Maintain detailed maintenance records to identify recurring issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives. 

• Assist in developing and updating SOPs, maintenance plans, and improvement strategies for equipment reliability. 

• Support general facility upkeep including repairs to walls, floors, ceilings, doors, and fixtures; perform light painting and touch-ups. 

• Inspect and service building infrastructure and equipment (e.g., filters, dehumidifiers, air handling units, fire extinguishers). 

• Monitor and maintain performance of support systems such as air compressors, dust collectors, and HVAC components. 

• Respond to facility and equipment repair requests promptly; recommend upgrades or external support when needed. 

• Promote a safe, cGMP-compliant work environment by using appropriate PPE and following safety protocols. 

You’ll need the following (minimum qualifications): 

• High School education: HS Diploma or GED preferred, but not required  

• Minimum 3 years of Manufacturing Maintenance experience. This can be in lieu of a high school education. 

• 3 years of equipment reliability experience (preferred)  

• Experience in a building maintenance/construction environment (highly preferred) 

• PLC Experience (Nice to have). 

A reasonable estimate of the current base hourly range for this position is $25.00 to $40.00. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
