Guest Service Associate

  We are currently looking for great, enthusiastic people to join our Front-of-House (FOH) team. Previous experience is a plus, but newcomers are welcomed. By joining Buona, you won’t just be a part of Chicago’s largest family owned and operated restaurant, you will become a part of the family! 

As a Front of the House Team Member (FOH), you will be learning more than one position. These positions include: Cashier/Expediter/Server 

CASHIER: 

· Knowledge and understanding of our menu 

· Take pride in every aspect of your work and perform with enthusiasm 

· Communicate and work with your team to give outstanding service to our guests 

· Greet every guest with a smile! 

EXPEDITER/SERVER: 

· Be able to recognize our food as it is presented from the kitchen 

· Ensure all food is being made properly before being handed out to guests 

· Communication with kitchen and servers 

· Assist with take-out/phone orders 

· Serve & auction food properly and in a timely manner 

OTHER KEY FUNCTIONS: 

· Comply with food safety requirements and practices 

· Maintain personal hygiene standards, including wearing clean Buona uniform 

· Restock any necessary items at register or expo 

· Work multiple stations (cashing out, making shakes/desserts, serving food, wiping tables) as directed by manager 

· Take phone orders

Ever since our first Buona restaurant opened its doors in Berwyn, Illinois in 1981, we have opened 26 restaurants throughout the greater Chicagoland area. What started as a small family-restaurant soon turned into an extended family, full of ambition, passion, and delicious food!
