Requirements:

• Must love dogs!
• No experience required, but a plus (i.e. Vet Technician, Kennel Technician, Groomer, Dog Walker, Dog Attendant, etc.)
• Must be dedicated to the care and loving treatment of dogs
• Must be pro-active, and demonstrate a willingness to learn
• Must posses a good work ethic, leadership, responsibility, dependability and patience
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand/walk for up to 8 hours per day

Daily Responsibilities:

• Manage dogs in a group play environment
• Provide food and water to dogs according to schedules and feeding instructions
• Mix food, medications, or food supplements according to instructions, prescriptions, and knowledge of dog breeds
• Examine and observe dogs to detect signs of illness, disease, or injury
• Provide treatment to injured animals
• Maintain facility laundry and clean, organize, and disinfect dog quarters and equipment
• Perform animal grooming duties (I.e. washing, brushing, clipping, and trimming coats, cutting nails, and cleaning ears)
• Respond to questions from patrons, and provide information about animals, such as behavior, habitat, eating or facility activities
• Collect and record animal information such as physical condition, treatments received, medications given, and food intake
• Pro-actively clean up after dogs throughout the shift

Schedule:

• Varying shifts Monday-Sunday
• Rotating weekends and holidays
• Shifts fall in between 6:30am-8:30pm
• 30-40 hours per week

Compensation:

• $12.00/hour +tips after 60 days of employment
