Job Description:

IBM DataPower Administrator with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

Responsible for deployment, configuration, and application integration of XI52 DataPower appliances in Pre-production and Production environments. Support the application development teams to implement Service Oriented Architecture and integration of custom developed web services with DataPower features.

Support Client’s enterprise initiatives by implementing Enterprise architecture reference patterns. Configure DataPower to comply with IT policies. Develop and document standard processes for using DataPower. Resource will be the primary subject matter expert for the DataPower appliance.

Work independently and with other team members during design and implementation. Develop, document, make recommendations, and communicate plans for investing in IT infrastructure, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities.

Specific duties:
• Configure Web service proxy for SOAP & REST based web services using DataPower
• Monitor, tuning and troubleshooting DataPower issues
• Configuring and supporting dynamic routing
• Configure AAA (Authentication, Authorization and Auditing) in DataPower
• Configure load balancing in DataPower
• Configure SSL/TLS connections
• Managing the deployment of XSLT, XSD’s and WSDL’s
• Configure DataPower with third party Single Sign-On technologies like CA’s SiteMinder
• Conduct research on emerging IT Technologies that will increase cost effective and infrastructure flexibility.
• Install DataPower firmware updates as needed
• Work with IBM support for problem resolution
• This resource will be part of the team that supports following technologies – Microsoft Windows 2008 R2/2012 R2 servers, Microsoft SQL Server, SAP BusinessObjects server and VMWare.

Required Skills:

IBM DataPower administration, performance tuning, monitoring, and implementation of best practices including high availability
Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) experience
Good communication skills
IBM MQ Administration
IBM Websphere Application Server Administration (WAS)
