Powell Supportive Services, Inc. is a licensed private home care agency licensed by the State of Florida. We service the DD Waiver, ADA Waiver, Cystic Fibrosis Waiver, TBI Waiver and PAC Waiver. The office is open five days a week and we provide on call service 24/7. Our staff includes experienced Personal Care Aides, Home Health Aides, Massage Therapists, Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses. We assist the elderly and adults with various disabilities to remain in their homes.
Job Description:Provide Personal Care support in activities of daily living such as eating, bathing, dressing and personal hygiene.
Qualifications:High School Diploma
APD approved Medication Training Certificate (or willing to obtain)
Medication Validation Certificate (or willing to obtain)
Level 2 Background Screening
Zero Tolerance Certificate (or willing to obtain)
Core Competency Certificate (or willing to obtain)
CPR / First Aide Certificate
Infection Control / Blood Borne Pathogens Certificate
HIPPA Certificate
HIV / AIDS Training
Reliable Transportation
Valid Florida Drivers License
Additional Information:Sympathetic attitude toward care of the sick • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and carry out directions • Evidence of maturity and ability to deal effectively with job demands • Good verbal and written communications skills • Attends twelve (12) hours of Aide oriented in services per year • Participates in professional meetings when directed • Shall have a criminal history check conducted prior to being offered any position within this agency.
