Full Time /Part-Time Positions FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE!
Job Summary:
The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to
install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety,
predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the
site’s business goals.
Key Functions/Responsibilities:
- Install machines and equipment and perform regular preventive maintenance and servicing on these machines, equipment, and the facility.
- Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs during production; diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test equipment, and make necessary adjustments.
- Perform basic machinist tasks as needed.
- Utilize mechanic skills, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Implement and maintain a monthly maintenance program for farm equipment using a computer program.
- Schedule, perform, and document all repairs and parts replacements for equipment.
- Maintain an inventory of parts for farm equipment, ensuring necessary spare parts are on hand to prevent equipment downtime; keep a complete equipment inventory.
- Keep the maintenance shop clean and organized.
- Carry out a variety of maintenance functions as needed.
- Perform duties using various hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Qualifications/Skills:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in agriculture; strong skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and industrial work; some experience with PLCs, welding, fabricating, and electrical systems is required.
- Demonstrated ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack; forklift certification is preferred.
- Fluency in English (both oral and written) is required; fluency in Spanish is a plus.
