Job Title: Non-CDL Van Driver
Department: Transportation/Parking
Location: Homewood Mountain Resort
Reports to: Base Operations Director
Employment Type: 10 month/Full time up to Year-round/Full-time

The Non-CDL van driver duties are as follows: Safely transport no more than 9 passengers, regardless of the number of seats, in our AWD and 2WD vans from our North Base to South Base during Winter business hours.. This also includes the following duties:
Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following but not limited to:
- Promotes and exemplifies the Homewood culture of exceptional guest service, team work, innovation, and fun! Works well independently and with others. Enjoys “pitching in” whenever and wherever assistance is needed. Conducts and shows a high level of professionalism. Values our safety culture, our community, and maintaining a healthy, sustainable environment. Ensures that guests and employees have a fun, safe, and memorable experience. Asks questions, shares concerns, or gives ideas on innovation and efficiencies that improve both the guests’ and employees’ experience.
- Responsible for the safe transportation of all HMR guests and employees, as well all required daily recordkeeping, documentation using driver check out sheets, passenger counts and fueling
- Keeps documentation and records in accordance to all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, Department of Transportation and California Highway Patrol requirements.
- Communicates effectively with all departments including the Director of Base Operations via phone, text, email and verbally.
- Occasionally may be required to transport staff or guests off site as needed

- Have excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and courtesy.
- Experience driving and will provide a driver history print out from DMV
- Requisitions repairs to fleet as needed via Supervisor
- Inspects vans on a daily basis prior to and at end of shift
- Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
- Follows their schedules and creatively adjusts their workday to meet business demands.
- Ensures this department and employees are in accordance with its Department Operating Plan (DOP).
- Language Skills:
- Literate and fluent in English.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Additional language(s) desirable.
- Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, area, circumference, and volume to practical situations.
- Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral, mathematical, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Certifications and Levels:

- Valid Class C Driver License and a driving record meeting the standards required by Homewood’s insurance carrier
Education and Experience

- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) or 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior ski resort or hospitality experience desirable.

- Required to be able to install tire chains as needed depending on road conditions and Cal Trans chain control direction.

Wage Range $21.00 - $25.00 Hourly
