Interventional Rad Tech Duties:
Greeting patients, reviewing their medical history, explaining the procedure, and positioning them correctly for the X-ray while reassuring them and providing a comfortable experience.
- Adjusts c-arm fluoroscopic equipment during procedures in conjunction with and in response to the physician while following all safety protocols.
- Administers diagnostic x-rays; adjusts equipment, determines proper exposure technique and time, arranges immobilization and support devices, properly adjusts shielding to protect patients, and insures images are captured correctly and accurately per physician instructions.
- Understands and uses the PACS system.
Insure patient safety and adhering to radiation safety protocols to protect both patients and tech from unnecessary exposure
- Maintain accurate charting and routine maintenance on equipment
Job Requirements:
- X-Ray Tech/ Rad Tech/ Radiologic Technologist Experience - 2 years of Experience
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- CPR Certification (no online courses)
- Associate Degree from an approved Radiologic Technology program
