Summary

The Security Officer works under the supervision of the Director, Security Managers, and the Lead. The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all persons, equipment, and physical property of Mosaic Life Care. This position is employed by Mosaic Life Care.

Duties

Conducting patrols of the buildings and grounds, ensuring adequate access control and protection of caregivers and all Mosaic Life Care properties, and able to respond to an armed threat, and bring a safe resolution to the threat or situation
Conducting inspections of the facilities looking for unsafe acts and/or conditions, which threaten life safety.
Able to operate in a stressful environment where person/persons have experienced life threating injuries and death.
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

H.S. Diploma GED or HiSET equivalent is required. Two years college, preferably in criminal justice, or Fire Safety and or Post Certified Police Academy is preferred.
Driver's License-Chauffeurs license or ability to obtain valid chauffeur’s driver`s license within 90 days of hire is required. Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required within 90 Days. HAZMAT Training required within 90 Days. Must complete the International Association of Hospital Safety and Security basic Security Officer Exam within 120 days of hire is preferred.
2 Years of position dealing with the public, preferably in the Law Enforcement, Fire Safety, Military Security, Federal (DHS Department of Homeland Security) is required.
