Tutor Part-Time

TITLE: Tutor ($30.00 per hour Contractor)

QUALIFICATIONS:  Minimum requrements include an Associate's Degree or passing score on the ParaPro. Maryland teacher certification preferred.

REPORTS TO: Principal

JOB GOALS: Provide high-dosage tutoring in reading or math

ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Implement appropriate individual and/or small group tutoring in reading or mathematics using approved tutoring program materials.
2. Collect required data for assigned tutoring program to monitor student progress.
3. Work with school-based leaders and curriculum supervisors to ensure the quality of program implementation.
4. Participate in professional learning as needed for effective program implementation.
5. Demonstrate caring, emphatic, relationship building skills to foster student success.
6. Adhere to all TCPS policies and procedures as well as school protocols.
7. Act in a professional and collegial manner in all situations with students and staff.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Part time, contract position
