Non Certified, Surgical ServicesTechnician-PRN-Varies

The surgical services intern assists with the total care given by the interdisciplinary team members to the surgical patient under the direction of the registered nurse. The surgical servies intern will be required to work under the direct supervision of the registered nurse at all times for direct patient care. Patient care is provided in preoperative preparation, intra - and post -operative assessments, and the planning and delivery of care.

Training Program / Course Surgical Technician Enrolled/Required.  Must be enrolled in a Surgical Technician Certification program of study. Complete surgical technician certification within 6 months of program completion.  Current BLS.

Everyone who is offered a position with Fauquier Health is screened for tobacco use as part of the post-offer health assessment and screening. A screening result that is verified positive for tobacco use will result in the job offer being withdrawn.

 

Preferred:  One year experience as a surgical technician in General, GYN, Urology and Orthopedic procedures.
