Running Creek Casino has been offering guests a full-service gaming destination in a vineyard setting along the historic Highway 20 corridor of Upper Lake, California since 2012. Join our team today and become a greater part of the community! We are hiring a Kitchen Assistant to maintain sanitary conditions in the various food outlets at all times. Additionally, you will be responsible for proper disposition of dirty dishes, trash and replenishment of stock, and assists the cook  with ingredient  preparation.

Specifically, you will:

 

  1. Ensures that the kitchen is clean and operational.
  2. Performs all washing and cleaning duties required in the kitchen
  3. Assists with inventory control
  4. Removes garbage, washes garbage cans and cleans refrigerators, freezers and storage rooms.
  5. Properly cleans and sanitizes all food preparation areas according to established standards of hygiene.
  6. Washes and appropriately stores all cooking utensils, instruments, appliances, cutting boards and dishes
  7. Assists the cook with preparations of meal ingredients, which includes washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting and chopping
  8. Sweeps and mops the kitchen floors and wipes down kitchen walls
  9. Assists with the unloading of food supplies
  10. Correctly stores food suplies
  11. Must adhere to the safety rules and regulations of the Running Creek Casino and of the Food and Beverage Department.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Office, gaming floor and convention center environment including flashing lights, frequent loud noisesand cigarette smoke. Must handle hazardous materials. Must be flexible with work schedule. Must be willing to work any hours and/or shift, as assigned, according to business needs. Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals.
