Pay Range: $16.50-18/HR

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

This hourly/non-exempt role is responsible for cleaning & maintaining ACC Senior Services properties to highest standards while providing excellent customer service to staff & clients; reports to Executive Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains facilities in a sanitary, infection-free condition by washing, cleaning, replacing equipment and furnishings.   
• Operates various mechanized cleaning equipment, i.e.: vacuums, polishers, buffers, etc.; vacuums floors & edges.
• Responsible for disposal of trash, waste, other disposable materials; removes trash & recycling; follows schedule to complete all tasks on a daily, weekly monthly, as-needed basis.
• Assists with unit turnover such as floor care, cleaning appliances, and washing interior windows.
• Handles solvents & chemicals; compliance per government regulations (OSHA, EPA, State Health Department, etc.).
• Reports any needed repairs immediately to supervisor; daily interior/exterior cleaning of community rooms & related common areas; mops floors with appropriate (germicidal) solution.
• Dust mops floor with treated dust mop; dusts furniture and fixtures, mini-blinds and horizontal dusting.
• Cleans bathrooms (commodes, sinks, vanity areas, mirrors, etc.); cleans windows and window tracks.
• Maintains and cares for all equipment on Housekeeping Cart; stocks Housekeeping Cart at end of shift.
• Understanding of infection control & chemical usage; demonstrates compliance with policies, procedures, standards; assists with other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school education or vocational training preferred as well as certification in aid.
• Effective verbal/written English communication skills.
• Experience in housekeeping activities and use of supplies preferred.
• Basic knowledge of infection control; understanding of chemical usage and safety body mechanics.
• Flexibility and willingness to work evenings or weekends as needed.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Compliance with all OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Act) regulations.
• Maintenance knowledge preferred; experience working with volunteers preferred.

Qualifications
