The job of "Behavioral Assistant-Special Education" is done for the purpose of assisting (under direct and indirect supervision) in the monitoring and instruction of special education students; relieving teachers of routine clerical tasks; and assisting students in performing their academic, daily living and special health care activities. The job of "Instructional Assistant - Special Education” is done for the purpose/s of assisting (under direct supervision) in the supervision and instruction of students enrolled in a special education curriculum and assisting teachers with clerical duties.

POSITION REQUIREMENT: Must meet a rigorous standard of quality by meeting one of the following: - Two years of study at an institution of higher education obtained an associate’s degree (or higher) - Successful passage of a formal local academic assessment or ECESD Competency Exam
