Assistant House Manager

Assistant House Manager: West Roxbury, MA

Currently, we are seeking an Assistant House Manager who will support individuals served in their own homes by promoting independence, while empowering and enhancing their quality of life.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the development of maximum independence, responsibility and self-worth
  • Integration of quality-of-life ideals into daily management and program development
  • Preparation and implementation of program goals, individuals service plans, progress notes and treatment plans.
  • Nurturing a positive relationship with individuals, families, guardians and service providers
  • Providing appropriate healthcare, medical and dental needs and promoting healthy lifestyle choices.
  • 20 hours direct care duties and 20 hours flexible administrative duties, with a Tuesday to Saturday work schedule
  • Smooth operation of the program when the House Manager is off duty.
  • Provides on-the-job supervision to CTS when the House Manager is not on duty.
  • Responsible for providing emergency on-call coverage when House Manager is on planned time off approved by the Program Director
  • Assesses program participant’s independent living skills.
  • Designs and implements skill acquisition and behavior management programs for consumer case loads.
  • Collects necessary data to demonstrate the effectiveness of training programs, design data collection forms.
  • Prepares and implements individual service plans, behavioral plans, progress notes and treatment plans.
  • Maintenance of records for program participants on caseloads in a timely and complete manner.
  • Provides guidance and support to program participants, as needed.
  • Meets regularly with program participants’ vocational case managers, families, therapists and other support staff to assure a coordinated and consistent programming.
  • Participates in the DDS ISP process.
  • Assesses consumer needs for supportive services and making referrals to the appropriate agency as necessary. 
  • Makes arrangements for periodic and as needed medical and dental care.
  • Assists program participants in using community resources.
  • Designs and implements money management programs for all program participants.
  • Attends regular house meetings, staff meetings and individual supervision.
  • Attends in-service training programs.
  • Ensures the cleanliness maintenance of building and grounds.
  • Ensures staff coverage and provide coverage when needed.
  • Obtains Human Rights Officer and Fire Safety Officer Certifications.
  • Carries out duties as assigned by House Manager/Residential Director.

 

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Rehabilitation Counseling, Special Education, Social Work or related field or minimum three years’ experience.
  • Possession of a valid Massachusetts Driver’s License and a safe driving record.
