Concrete Carpenter

Some responsibilities include:

• Understand the project plans and specifications.
• Determine materials, equipment and, procedures required to achieve desired results
• Determine and abide by safety procedures based on job site conditions
• Communicate equipment and manpower needs to meet schedules and deadlines.
• Assist with the placement of concrete for projects
• Placing concrete from a truck, crane, bucket or pump
• Structural Concrete experience (footings and walls)
• Cement finishing experience
• Finishing concrete
• Coordinate with Superintendent onsite for direction and schedule
• Operating all necessary tools associated with the job.
• Successfully communicating and understanding both verbal and written directions
• Organize, structure and perform tasks within a set schedule
• Experience/knowledge of construction
• Self-starter with ability to work in a team environment

Applicant Requirements:

• Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds of material and up to 90 pounds of material with assistance, if requested.
• Frequently walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching and climbing.
• Frequent use of hand tools such as power tools, circular saws, hammers, nails, and bolts
• High school Diploma or equivalent
• 2 years experience in concrete preferred
• Previous experience in the commercial construction industry preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
• Reliable and punctual
