Job Purpose Summary:

The AGC Scalehouse operator is responsible for weighing products accurately that are sold, shipped, and received, or at times calculate the weight on-road use and ensuring the scales and other equipment are operating properly and as per standards, computing and collecting fees as needed, maintaining records documenting weights as the Weighmaster ensures correct weighing so that prices can be levied accurately.

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

- Operate scale and complete weight certificates

- Communicate truck arrivals with operations (warehouse, Supervisors, dispatch)

- Compile and file paperwork

- Verify seals and shipping information

- Initiate Incident Reports when needed (especially for internal incidents involving trucks, shipments)

- Follow Food Safety Policy and Food Safety Manual requirements

- Participate in monthly training including food safety training

- Conduct, participate in all audits (monthly walk throughs, annual system audits, customer, 3rd party). 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

- High School degree or equivalent

- Read and write English

- Good communications skills

- Computer proficiency

Position Requirements:

- Strong analytical skills.
- Knowledge of lot numbering system a plus, but will train
- Ability to multi-task between assignments and prioritize workload
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must be detail oriented and maintain a clean/organized production area at all times
- Must be a team player and self- motivated
- Must have strong communication skills and be able to work well with other departments; bi-lingual Spanish a plus
- Knowledge of basic computer skills and ERP (NAV) a plus

- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
