Description
Department: Environmental Services
Supervisor Title: EVS Director
Location: Alpine, WY
Employment Status: Part-time (10-15 hours per week)
Full-time (40 hours per week)
Compensation: Minimum $14.94, commensurate with experience and certification.

Summary
While upholding the Star Valley Health mission, vision and values this key position is responsible for the delivery of quality care through the operations of the Environmental Services and its functionality. The scope of the department is general housekeeping, laundry, infection control and specialty cleaning projects throughout the Star Valley medical Center campus and offsite locations. This is an “at will” position.
Job Duties
- Cleaning and services ward, rooms, baths, laboratories, and office in a professional manner
- Provides clean, adequate supply of linen, and removes the soiled linen for cleaning
- Correctly handles and disposes all cleaning supplies and equipment as needed
- Maintains a clean and organized work area
- Handle confidential and proprietary information on a daily basis
- Promote proper process to ensure infection control guidelines are followed
- Attend training classes as scheduled
- Represent Star Valley Health in a positive manner on campus and in the community
- Complete other assignments and duties as needs arise and assigned

Abilities & Skills:
- Ability to follow oral and written communication
- Maintain a working relationship with other employees within the department and other departments
- Strong multi-tasking skills with the ease of changing directions upon request and need
- Aptitude to work around patients with respect to their situation
- Comply with HIPAA and other federal, state and local regulations as well, as maintain the highest degree of confidentiality inpatient, visitor and staff matters
- Maintain a team and positive work environment
- Adaptable to working in a team environment or individually
- Constant standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending and reaching throughout the work day
- Able to lift fifty (20) pounds on a regular basis, ability to lift seventy-five (50) pounds occasionally
Experience & Education:
- Strong work ethic and attention to details
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent desired
- Commercial cleaning experience
