The Night Auditor is a vital member of our overnight team, ensuring both the financial accuracy of resort operations and the seamless guest experience expected at a luxury destination. This role requires a calm, professional presence, a strong eye for detail, and the ability to represent the resort with confidence and care throughout the overnight hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process daily night audit procedures and system back-ups
- Audit, balance, and report on all cash, credit, and charge transactions, including deposits, over/short figures, postings, and house charges
- Review and reconcile front desk accounts, including room charges, folios, taxes, adjustments, and disputed charges
- Ensure discrepancies are identified and reported to leadership and Finance promptly
- Input statistical data and income journal entries for the preparation of daily financial reports
- Balance and close all bank ticket codes daily
- Provide overnight guest services, including check-in/check-out, wake-up calls, and concierge assistance
- Serve as the point of contact for late-arrival and early-departure guests, ensuring seamless luxury experiences at all hours
- Monitor guest satisfaction and service recovery opportunities, resolving issues thoughtfully in line with Forbes-level service standards
- Collaborate with Security and overnight colleagues to maintain the safety and comfort of all guests and staff
- Support VIP arrivals, special requests, and in-room amenities as directed by management
- Perform duties as needed in the absence of Bell, Door, or Valet services
- Maintain a calm and professional presence in emergency situations; be knowledgeable of all front office and emergency procedures
Support the overall success of the Front Office team with any other tasks as assigned
Compensation & Schedule
- Wage: Base rate $24.15/hour + service charge (projected earnings average $28–$30/hour)
Schedule: Full-time overnight position, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM, five days per week. Days are flexible; weekend availability is required

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods during overnight shifts
- Frequent walking between front office, guest rooms, and resort facilities as needed
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry, or move items up to 50 pounds (e.g., guest luggage, packages, or front desk supplies)
- Comfortable working in low-light or quiet environments overnight
- Capacity to remain alert and focused during overnight hours
