About this job
The Wellness Instructor provides instruction to participants within a variety of programs and settings related to Health and Wellness, i.e., yoga, Pilates, aqua aerobics, group aerobics, strength training classes, etc. The Wellness Instructor is responsible for class/program design utilizing established guidelines by health and fitness agencies.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to design and implement exercise programs for a variety of different populations/ diagnoses. Ability to demonstrate proper use of exercise equipment. Experience in health care setting and wellness programming which is integrated with hospital or health system. Basic Life Support (BLS) or Heartsaver/AED. ACE certified fitness instructor, AFAA certified fitness instructor, ACSM certified fitness instructor, or NSCA certified fitness instructor, or specialty certification related to class content.

Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor’s degree. 2 years of class instruction.
